Sheer- Seeing mostly your skin, but evening out any imperfections.
Medium- Erasing out any imperfections, but still seeing freckles peeking through.
Full- Seeing little to none of your natural skin.
Contour
Yes or no? Light contour or heavy contour? I think a little contour is always a little necessary in order to add some dimension to the face. If you don't normally wear much, opt for a light contour. You can always add more, but you can't take it off.

Shadow
Almost every bride who sits in our chairs says they want their shadow "smokey, but natural." We usually know what people mean by that, but it can mean so many different things to different people. To some people, smokey implies black, others it may just mean that the application of the colors is "smokey". Either way, try and be more specific "I like a smokier feel, but with soft, light browns and a touch of rose gold in the center."
